MNP #3: The Memphis police beating of Tyre Nichols was so brutal

On Jan. 27 the Memphis Police Department released video of officers severely beating 29-year-old Tyre Nichols, who was being detained for alleged reckless driving. 

The beating is sickeningly brutal, and signals that we have a long way to go to correct police-community relations in America. 

Also: 

• Alec Baldwin is charged with involuntary manslaughter for allegedly killing a cinematographer on a movie set in October 2021. 
• The great Tom Brady finally calls it quits after 23 seasons in the NFL, and
• Witches in Connecticut may be exonerated -- over 400 years later.
